Lemon Squeezy, Stripe Managed Payments and the price of an MoR
Lemon Squeezy's pricing page now carries a banner about "Lemon Squeezy + Stripe Managed Payments". Stripe's own pricing lists Managed Payments at 3.5% on top of standard processing, for 6.4% + 30¢ all-in. That is the clearest published price for "someone else is the legal seller" the market has had.
Three ways to sell a $49 digital product
| Option | Fee on $49 |
|---|---|
| Whop, you as seller | $1.62 |
| Whop with managed tax | $2.60 |
| Lemon Squeezy today | $2.95 |
| Stripe Managed Payments | $3.44 |
What the premium buys
Liability. Stripe or Lemon Squeezy is the merchant; tax registration, filing, fraud and disputes are theirs. Whop's 2% service calculates, collects and remits in the US, EU and UK, but you are still the seller. For a business concentrated in those regions the 1.7-point gap is pure margin; for one selling into 40 countries it may be cheaper than the accountant.
